Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management
Lead and manage the claims department, ensuring effective and efficient claims handling across all lines of business.
Mentor and develop a team of three claims managers and three claims assistants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Act as a strategic partner to the Chief Claims Officer, contributing to the development and execution of the claims strategy.
2. Claims Handling
Oversee the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims.
Handle complex and high-value claims, providing technical expertise and guidance to the team.
Ensure consistent application of claims policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
3. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
Enhance client satisfaction by proactively managing relationships and delivering a positive claims experience.
Engage with key clients to understand their needs and provide tailored claims solutions.
Represent the company in client meetings and industry events to build and maintain a strong market presence.
4. Reserving and Compliance
Ensure accurate reserving practices in compliance with IFRS 17 and other regulatory requirements.
Implement robust internal controls and audit mechanisms to maintain compliance and manage risks.
Collaborate with finance and actuarial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and reserving.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting
Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, implement improvements, and support strategic decision-making.
Prepare regular reports on claims performance and provide insights to senior management.
Use data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims function.Qualifications
Experience 7-10 years of experience in P&C reinsurance claims management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
Education: Degree in insurance, law, business administration, or a related field.Skills and Attributes
